Daniel Camargo was born in the southern tail of Brazil. A region where urban, rural and topical worlds collide. His entire half side of the family were made of artists — painters, writers, poets, architects, historians and so on, where part of his daily upbringings.
Academically, the Artist earned superior degrees in Industrial Design and Graphic Arts. In 2004, after moving to the U.S., Danny immersed himself in the field of architecture, acquiring deep understanding of the nuts & bolts of the American Architecture. This experience further enhanced his artistic approach with a work that blends complexity and simplicity.
The artist sees every Creation as a dialogue. A work of listening for what each piece wants to say, as if it existed long before it came to Light. As a form of Life waiting to be unveiled from under the vast fabric of the Cosmos, and invariably unraveled into both ends, the Light & the Shadow.
Within his most inspirational artists, are the immortals, Salvador Dalí, M.C. Escher, and H.R. Giger, as a statement of the Value of Art in Human Culture. Ultimately, Camargo sees Art as an ancient form of Transcendence. A way of connecting to our most Primal Self, and therefore, a deep-healing practice for both, individually and collectively.
